Spanish Coffee (iced/hot) is a must. We enjoyed it so much we visited on back-to-back nights during my birthday weekend. Happy hour menu didn't disappoint. Highly recommended Portland experience!

First time in Portland Oregon visiting from Portland Maine, I decided to check this highly rated restaurant out to see what they are about. This classic local restaurant did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is consistently outstanding, with each dish prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors are rich and comforting, and the portions are generous without feeling overwhelming. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always making sure you’re well taken care of. Whether it’s a casual meal or a special occasion, this place delivers an exceptional dining experience every time. They even gave me recommendations of places to visit on my trip which I greatly appreciate. Highly recommend this place!

We chose this kind of at the last minute, after finding it online. It is quite a Portland Institution. The atmosphere is beautiful and old, and there are several things like a very old cash register that really added to the place. The table we were seated at was pretty small, even for just two people. The place was not crowded at the time we were there, which was about 5pm on a Monday. They are known for their roast turkey, and it sounded good. We split a plate of the roast turkey. My friend got a side of mashed potatoes, and I had the yams. I am used to sweet potatoes are a bit sweeter, but these were decent. I liked the stuffing, the traditional cranberry sauce and the turkey was perfectly cooked. I absolutely loved the slice of beer bread that they served. I could have happily eaten just several slices of that for my dinner! If it were possible, I would have bought a loaf of it and brought it home. They were kind enough to split the bill, even though we split the meal. The waiter was attentive, dressed in a suit, and very friendly. If I were in the area, I would go there again.

Get the turkey dinner and spanish coffee! This place is very historic and the servers are so professional. I love coming here for happy hour also. They do a traditional happy hour and 9- close, which is perfect for late dinner before going out downtown.

I went a few months ago for my birthday after hearing about it on KGW around Thanksgiving time. Lived here for years and somehow never heard of Huber's. BIG MISTAKE! Where have you been all my life, Huber's?! From the atmosphere to the customer service to the AMAZING food, and equally amazing over the top Spanish Coffee, Huber's knocks it out of the park. My wife ordered the Turkey Cream Cheese and Cranberry Sandwich, and I ordered the Half and Half which is one part turkey with gravy and one part ham. My dish also came with a side of mashed potatoes with gravy. The turkey was so unbelievably tender and the ham practically melted in my mouth. At some point I knew I was getting full but I did not care at all. Nope. I could've ate more. I'm sure I could've found room for it somewhere in my tummy. In between dinner and dessert my wife ordered herself a Spanish Coffee. If you've seen the various videos here, yes, a bartender does come out and personally make one in front of you. They also light it on fire. It's such a nice touch. And it is every bit delicious as it looks. After our fantastic dinner we had ourselves from scratch made house Pumpkin Pie. Like everything else that night - perfect! It truly topped off one of the best meals, one of the best dining experiences ever. I've heard everything here is as local and fresh as it gets, and it truly shows. I can see why they have been around since 1879. Never ever change Huber's. EVER! Will recommend to everyone I know.

Very old school spot. They serve classic dishes well. I loved the turkey plate. It was better than a lot of Thanksgiving meals. The bread was also delicious.

What an excellent experience. DO MAKE RESERVATIONS! The food and atmosphere is not one of a Cafe. It's just shy of fine dining. No tie required. Lol. I had the seafood pasta. Awesome!! The spicy margaritas was great, too. Everyone in our party had a fabulous meal. DO GET THE SPANISH COFFEE. It turns a meal into a Dinner and a Show. Enjoy!
